My Happy Life

Wow...I am so excited to actually be writing this blog. I like being happy. It is so much better than being sad.

I'm doing the HCG protocol again. Last round I lost 35 pounds, plus an additional 5 after I finished. I have kept it off for over 2 months. So I started another round last week and I am already down 10 pounds. YAY!!!

And what makes this time even better is that my wonderful, handsome, silly, and talented in the culinary arena boyfriend is cooking for me and eating with me on the weekends. We had the yummiest steamed asparagus and lobster tail last night. I tried last time to make some salad dressing, but it didn't taste good. But don't you know he made it taste SCRUMPTIOUS?! He can use the spices to perfection.

We had an amazing Valentine's Day weekend. He gave me a dozen roses, a box of chocolates, a stuffed teddy bear and the sweetest card. We ate breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Temple Saturday morning and then he drove me to Dallas. I didn’t have to drive at all until I went back to work on Tuesday, yay!!

We stayed two nights at the Wyndham Hotel in Irving since we didn’t have work on Monday since it was President’s Day. We went shopping at Grapevine Mills Outlet Malls and to see a movie, The Wolfman, on Saturday.

Then we just relaxed in the hotel on Sunday and had dinner at Medieval Times that night. That’s the place that looks like a castle on the outside and they have all sorts of medieval stuff, like knights and horses and a king and a princess. It’s dinner and a tournament you would have gone to if you lived back then. We had to eat our food without silverware. It was SPECTACULAR!! We had really good seats and got lots of cool stuff because they had a Valentine's Day Package special. We got our picture taken together and we each got a copy, then we had champagne and got to keep the glasses. Well, he drank both of ours; it tasted gross to me, lol. I got a pretty artificial rose that lit up; he got a light up sword. We also got a cool looking “scroll” that was actually a computer printout in fancy text that looked like a decree the king would have given back then and they put our names on it so it said “Lord Jeffery and Lady Pamela.” We got flags to wave when our knight was participating in the tournament. The show was neat. The prince got kidnapped and the knights participated in a tournament. But then the prince saved the kingdom…it was so much fun. I had never been there before.

Then on Monday, after sleeping in late, he drove us back. We stopped at Hillsboro outlet mall and then went to go to the Premium Outlets in Round Rock, but we didn’t actually shop at those because we wanted to see another movie (From Paris with Love) and made it there just in time for the movie. He loves to shop. Though sometimes he walks too fast and leaves me in the dust. He wore me out, lol! We ate supper at Saltgrass Steakhouse after the movies. We didn’t get home until 9pm. It was great.

All I can say is that being in love like this is definitely WORTH THE WAIT!! God has blessed me so much. I do have a happy life.
