Wow...I am so excited to actually be writing this blog. I like being happy. It is so much better than being sad.
I'm doing the HCG protocol again. Last round I lost 35 pounds, plus an additional 5 after I finished. I have kept it off for over 2 months. So I started another round last week and I am already down 10 pounds. YAY!!!
And what makes this time even better is that my wonderful, handsome, silly, and talented in the culinary arena boyfriend is cooking for me and eating with me on the weekends. We had the yummiest steamed asparagus and lobster tail last night. I tried last time to make some salad dressing, but it didn't taste good. But don't you know he made it taste SCRUMPTIOUS?! He can use the spices to perfection.
We had an amazing Valentine's Day weekend. He gave me a dozen roses, a box of chocolates, a stuffed teddy bear and the sweetest card. We ate breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Temple Saturday morning and then he drove me to Dallas. I didn’t have to drive at all until I went back to work on Tuesday, yay!!
We stayed two nights at the Wyndham Hotel in Irving since we didn’t have work on Monday since it was President’s Day. We went shopping at Grapevine Mills Outlet Malls and to see a movie, The Wolfman, on Saturday.
Then we just relaxed in the hotel on Sunday and had dinner at Medieval Times that night. That’s the place that looks like a castle on the outside and they have all sorts of medieval stuff, like knights and horses and a king and a princess. It’s dinner and a tournament you would have gone to if you lived back then. We had to eat our food without silverware. It was SPECTACULAR!! We had really good seats and got lots of cool stuff because they had a Valentine's Day Package special. We got our picture taken together and we each got a copy, then we had champagne and got to keep the glasses. Well, he drank both of ours; it tasted gross to me, lol. I got a pretty artificial rose that lit up; he got a light up sword. We also got a cool looking “scroll” that was actually a computer printout in fancy text that looked like a decree the king would have given back then and they put our names on it so it said “Lord Jeffery and Lady Pamela.” We got flags to wave when our knight was participating in the tournament. The show was neat. The prince got kidnapped and the knights participated in a tournament. But then the prince saved the kingdom…it was so much fun. I had never been there before.
Then on Monday, after sleeping in late, he drove us back. We stopped at Hillsboro outlet mall and then went to go to the Premium Outlets in Round Rock, but we didn’t actually shop at those because we wanted to see another movie (From Paris with Love) and made it there just in time for the movie. He loves to shop. Though sometimes he walks too fast and leaves me in the dust. He wore me out, lol! We ate supper at Saltgrass Steakhouse after the movies. We didn’t get home until 9pm. It was great.
All I can say is that being in love like this is definitely WORTH THE WAIT!! God has blessed me so much. I do have a happy life.

Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day warms my heart. I've always loved this time of year. Even when I was single. Now I am excited that I have a special man in my life with whom to share the holiday. I'm sure it will be my best Valentine's Day EVER! We are headed to Dallas this weekend to go to Medieval Times on Valentine's night. We love the whole medieval time period with all the pagentry of castles, kings, queens, knights and princesses. I keep telling him he is my knight in shining armor and everyone knows I am already a princess.
I remember one year as a single, I helped host a Singles' Valentine Banquet for my church. It was so much fun...nobody had a date, we all hung out together and ate and sang and had a lesson on God's love. One of the more romantic gentlemen gave every woman there a single red rose. We cried. The main focus that night was how complete we were as singles and being together as brothers and sisters in Christ. We realized that Jesus was the BEST VALENTINE ever because He sacrificed Himself so we could live forever in heaven with Him. We understood the importance of learning to love ourselves first so we could love others. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself" was our main Bible text that night. It's true..you will never truly understand how to love others if you don't love yourself first.
Yes we should tell our loved ones every day how much we love them and yes Ashley, it is silly to have to have a HOLIDAY for some people to remember to show each other they love them. And yes, I agree the commercialism is all a ploy to get consumers to spend money on things that really aren't needed to show love.
But still, there is something sweet in the air when love fills your senses through the decorations in red and pink, and all varieties of hearts, flowers and chocolates. Don't limit showing your love to just this weekend...do it all year long!
Be sure to tell your lover, your family, and your friends how much you treasure and adore them. "I love you" goes a long way. Try it, you will like it, guaranteed.

oh ok
So I guess I didn't really get the gist of the lesson I recently posted for my romance writing class. That is ok. I don't mind learning new things. Although this newest lesson is challenging. I am a perfectionist when it comes to my writing whenever I don't give my muse permission to write badly. I will not know whether I have the concept down if I don't submit something. So I've carved some scenes out of my rough draft and I will analyze and revise! Yay me! Muse, BE FREE!!! I'll let you know how it goes.
